What is DeskFerry?

AI agents, AI employees, AI teammates: what's the difference?

An AI employee is an AI agent that owns a recurring job: it does the work on its own, inside your apps, on a schedule or when something happens. "AI agent" is the technical term for the software; it becomes an AI employee once it has a standing job on your team. "AI teammate" is a softer name for the same idea. We say AI employees on this site; in the DeskFerry app you'll find them under Agents. Every plan includes as many as you want.

What is an AI agent platform?

It's software for creating and running AI agents: AI that can work inside your apps, like Gmail, Slack and HubSpot, to get tasks done for you. DeskFerry is a no-code AI agent platform. You describe each AI employee in plain English, assign it tasks on a live board, and approve anything important before it happens.

Is this a project management tool?

It looks like one, but the work gets done for you. You plan on the board; your AI employees do the tasks.

Will AI employees do things without asking me?

Only what you allow. Anything that sends, spends or changes a record can wait for your approval on your Desk.

How is this different from Zapier or Make?

Those move data between apps based on fixed rules. DeskFerry's AI employees read, decide and act across multiple steps, and you manage them from a task board instead of building workflows.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You write tasks and describe AI employees in plain English.

What's the difference between Assist and AI employees?

Assist is your AI assistant, a generalist: it handles lots of simple tasks, and you can chat with it or schedule tasks like emails and calendar events. AI employees are specialists: each one takes one complex job and does it perfectly, running on a schedule or when something happens. Assist comes with Skills and Notes; AI employees come with skills, memory, knowledge, tools and approvals. You get both in one account.
